Manama: Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 1,875.27 points, marking a decrease of 4.22 points below the previous closing. The decline in the index was primarily attributed to the performance of the material sector. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahrain Islamic Index also closed lower at 774.62 points, experiencing a decrease of 1.45 points from its previous closing. The downturn in the indexes coincided with the results of 43 equity transactions, which involved a volume of 271,285 shares worth BD 124,482. Investors focused their trading activities mainly on the material sector, which accounted for 26.95% of the total value of securities traded. This sector's performance played a significant role in the overall decline of the indexes.
