Manama: Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operating and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), is preparing for the renewal of its long-term partnership with SITA, a global leader in air transport IT and communications.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the announcement was made in the presence of Ahmed Naeemi, Gulf Air Group Chief Technology Officer, and Adonis Succar, Vice President, Business Development, SITA during Gateway Gulf 2025, held at the Four Seasons Hotel on November 2-3.
The renewal focuses on the maintenance and support of essential airport systems that drive BIA's operations, ranging from passenger processing to flight management. This partnership aims to ensure the continuous delivery of a high-quality airport experience in alignment with Bahrain's digital transformation vision.
BIA efficiently manages flight operations, passenger check-in, security validation, and baggage reconciliation. The systems powered by SITA support every stage of the passenger journey, from check-in to boarding, and facilitate real-time data sharing among airlines, ground handlers, and airport operations teams.
This renewal demonstrates BAC's commitment to maintaining a modern digital infrastructure at the core of its airport operations.
