Manama: Bahrain achieved further progress in 3×3 basketball, rising to 44th in the October 2025 FIBA men’s world rankings with 497,016 points, compared with 47th in September.
According to Bahrain News Agency, regionally, Bahrain ranked ninth in Asia, third in the Arab world, and second in the Gulf region behind Qatar, reflecting the continued growth of the sport in the Kingdom. The achievement follows Bahrain’s silver medal at the 3rd Asian Youth Games, which showcased the players’ strong performance and the Bahrain Basketball Association’s (BBA) efforts to advance the sport.
The BBA continues to implement a comprehensive development strategy through participation in international events such as the FIBA 3×3 World Tour “Masters” and “Challenger” series, hosting accredited local tournaments, and supporting promising players to consolidate Bahrain’s international standing. In November, Manama will host the final stop of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour “Masters” for the third consecutive year, featuring Bahrain’s Al Riffa and Al Seef teams.
The BBA, in cooperation with Marassi Galleria Bahrain, has also opened new 3×3 basketball courts built to international standards.
