Manama: The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) continues to present the second edition of the Children's Cultural Program throughout August at the Bahrain National Museum, affirming its commitment to strengthening children's and young people's connection to the Kingdom of Bahrain's cultural heritage while fostering a deeper appreciation of the national identity through engaging, interactive learning experiences.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the programme commenced with Tales from History, introducing participants to Bahrain's maritime history and its role in shaping the Kingdom's cultural identity through a series of interactive activities and sessions led by specialists and practitioners of Bahrain's maritime heritage.
Over the coming weeks, the program will continue with the themes Palm Tree Tales, Arts and Crafts, and Heritage Tales, offering a well-rounded experience that combines learning, creativity and hands-on activities. Through these themes, children will explore Bahrain's tangible and intangible cultural heritage, including traditional crafts, customs and social traditions.
As part of its commitment to strengthening community partnerships, the Children's Cultural Program has been enriched by the valuable contributions of Abtalna Centre, trainer Aisha Al Sulaiti and artist Hanadi Al Ghanim. Their participation has enhanced the program by offering enriching educational and creative experiences that support its objectives while nurturing children's talents in an inspiring and interactive environment.
The programme also features a series of field visits to heritage sites and traditional craft workshops, providing participants with the opportunity to experience Bahrain's living heritage first-hand, meet traditional craftspeople, and gain a deeper appreciation of the Kingdom's rich cultural legacy.
