Assistant Attorney General Hosts Maan “Together” Programme for Child Protection Training

Manama: Counselor Wael Rashid Buallay, Assistant Attorney General, welcomed Ali Ahmed Amini, Director of the Anti-Violence and Addiction Programme Maan "Together", alongside Dr. Khawla Hazeem Al Shamsi, as part of a focused training programme aimed at enhancing the skills of Maan "Together" police officers in managing child-related cases.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Buallay underscored the Public Prosecution's commitment to child protection, highlighting it as a fundamental aspect of the criminal justice system. He stressed the significance of institutional coordination with community police forces to effectively address issues related to child safety.

Buallay advocated for bolstering collaboration with the Maan Programme through joint initiatives, research, and awareness projects that contribute to preventive strategies, ultimately creating a safer environment for children and youth.

Ali Ahmed Amini, on his part, underscored the critical role played by Maan "Together" police officers in educational institutions. He noted their efforts in raising awareness among students on pressing issues such as cybersecurity and bullying, facilitated by the programme's Regional Centre for Research and Training through its updated curricula.

The meeting reiterated the importance of cooperation between the Public Prosecution and the Maan "Together" Programme in developing comprehensive, science-based child protection initiatives. This partnership ensures effective communication with children while reinforcing preventive measures.

The initiative reflects the shared commitment of the Public Prosecution and the Ministry of Interior to strengthen institutional partnerships and protect children's rights, aligning with Bahrain's national vision.
