Arab Parliament Speaker Condemns IRGC Infiltration into Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island

Manama: Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Yammahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, condemned the infiltration of Kuwait's Bubiyan Island by members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to carry out hostile acts, which resulted in the injury of a member of the Kuwaiti armed forces.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Yammahi said in a statement that the criminal act constitutes a flagrant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, international law, and the Charter of the United Nations, while threatening regional security and stability.

He stressed the Arab Parliament's full support for Kuwait in exercising its legitimate right to self-defence and in all measures undertaken to confront these terrorist attacks and serious Iranian violations, while safeguarding its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Al Yammahi also reaffirmed that Kuwait's national security is an integral part of comprehensive Arab national security, expressing the Arab Parliament's full solidarity with Kuwait in confronting any threats targeting its security and sovereignty.
