Manama: Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League, strongly condemned the continued Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, describing them as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of both countries, international law, and the Charter of the United Nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Secretary General stressed the need for the immediate cessation of all Iranian attacks targeting the Gulf states and threatening regional security and stability. He held Iran fully responsible for its unlawful actions, which undermine regional and international diplomatic efforts to achieve peace in the region.
Gamal Roshdy, the official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, conveyed Ahmed Aboul Gheit's message of full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, their leaderships, and peoples. He expressed support for all measures and steps undertaken by the two countries to halt the Iranian attacks. Roshdy also called on all concerned parties to adhere to de-escalation and support efforts aimed at achieving a sustainable ceasefire.
