Arab Interior Ministers Council Denounces Iranian Attack on Emirati ADNOC Tanker

Manama: The General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers has issued a strong condemnation of the Iranian targeting of a UAE tanker affiliated with ADNOC while it was passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The Council described the incident as a blatant violation of international law and a significant threat to maritime security, the freedom of international trade, and global energy supplies. It also viewed the attack as an undermining of efforts to promote security and stability in the region.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the General Secretariat released a statement on Sunday, reaffirming its unwavering solidarity with the United Arab Emirates. The statement expressed absolute support for all measures that the UAE might undertake to counter such threats and protect its interests and resources. It emphasized the importance of safeguarding the country's security, stability, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
