Arab Foreign Ministers Engage in Strategic Talks with Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Minister in Ljubljana

Ljubljana: Arab foreign ministers convened with Slovenia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Tanja Fajon, in Ljubljana to discuss key regional and international issues. His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, Ayman Safadi of Jordan, Dr. Badr Abdelatty of Egypt, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani of Bahrain, and Sultan Al Muraikhi of Qatar participated in these crucial talks.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions emphasized the enhancement of regional and international security and stability, with particular attention to the situation in the Gaza Strip. The ministers highlighted the importance of adhering to the ceasefire agreement and ensuring the sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid to the region. They also expressed support for the peace plan initiated by United States President Donald Trump and reinforced the need for a political path leading to an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital under the two-state solution framework.

The talks also covered the situation in the occupied West Bank, where the ministers stressed the cessation of unilateral Israeli measures and violations against holy sites in Jerusalem. They noted that such actions could increase tensions and undermine peace efforts.

Additionally, the ministers acknowledged Slovenia's supportive stance on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and its recognition of the State of Palestine based on the two-state solution. The meeting also addressed broader regional developments, exploring ways to achieve de-escalation through negotiation and dialogue, and included discussions on resolving the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
