Arab Alliance demands fair entitlement for the Arab component in Kirkuk

Kirkuk The Arab Alliance confirmed its demand to grant the Arab component its fair entitlement in the upcoming local government in Kirkuk.

It said in a statement, with the escalation of political movement among the political forces to hold the first session of the Kirkuk Provincial Council, ongoing meetings have been taking place since yesterday in Baghdad between some Arab political forces and their representatives in the Provincial Council to build an alliance with some representatives of the rest of the components in Kirkuk.

He explained that we in the Arab Alliance declare our adherence to the necessity of obtaining the fair entitlement of the Arab component in the next local government and not to make any concessions that harm the interests of our component, while being keen to build a balanced local government in which all components and their political forces participate according to the electoral entitlement, and we also confirm that the exclusion and marginalization of any party in the upcoming loc
al government will cause confusion in the general situation in the province.

He added, based on our keenness on the unity of our Arab component and its rights, that we do not have any political connection or agreement with any party other than the Arab political forces and their representatives and leaders in Kirkuk. / End
