Manama: The General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has issued a warning regarding the misuse of personal photos and videos generated by artificial intelligence applications on social media.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the directorate emphasized that online publishing should be positive and constructive, urging users to rely on real personal photographs and authentic video clips without any additions or alterations that could alter their reality or context.
The directorate further called on individuals to exercise accuracy and responsibility when publishing and sharing content on social media platforms. It encouraged the conscious use of modern technologies to enhance credibility and preserve the integrity of content. The statement concluded with a clear warning that legal action would be pursued against those who violate these guidelines.
