An arrest campaign in the West Bank and the occupation army continues its siege of Jericho

Bethlehem – Ma’an – Today, Tuesday, the occupation army carried out a campaign of raids and arrests in cities and towns in the West Bank, while the siege of the city of Jericho continues for the second day in a row.

Confrontations broke out between citizens and the occupation army, and live bullets and tear gas bombs were fired.

The occupation forces arrested from Silwad, northeast of Ramallah, Hamed Fathi Hamed, Hassan Tayseer Hammad, and Yahya Hammad, and from Birzeit to the north, the two young men, Omar Hanoun and Abdullah Abu Qais.

From Qalqilya, Hadi Jadoua, Aboud Hassanein, and Aboud Nofal were arrested, after their homes were raided and searched.

From Bethlehem, the following were arrested: Shihab al-Din Othman Ibrahim Zaoul (20 years old), Hassan Ali Ismail Hamamra (25 years old) from the village of Husan to the west, and Muhammad Ahmed Ibrahim Manasra from the village of Wadi Fukin to the west.

From Burqa, north of Nablus, the two young freed prisoners, Saif Hamdan and Izzat Nashaat Saif, were
arrested.

The occupation forces continue to set up their military checkpoints at the main entrances to Jericho, including the southern entrance, ‘Al-Quds Street,’ with an iron gate, closing the northern entrances to the city, ‘Al-Ma’rajat’ and ‘Hay’a,’ and randomly searching vehicles at the eastern entrance near the Karama crossing rest stop, east of Jericho, in addition to pursuing vehicles.
