Amir of Qatar and Russian President Discuss Advancing Bilateral Cooperation

Doha: His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, and Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, have engaged in discussions aimed at advancing bilateral cooperation between their nations across several domains.

According to Bahrain News Agency, both leaders also addressed developments in the Gaza Strip and Syria. They stressed the importance of peaceful solutions to regional and international crises, highlighting the need to adhere to United Nations resolutions to fulfill the aspirations of the Palestinian people in establishing an independent state based on the 1967 borders.

President Putin expressed appreciation for the growing relations between Russia and Qatar, identifying Qatar as a key partner in the Middle East. His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani reiterated Qatar's commitment to further enhancing its partnership with Russia in ways that serve the interests of both nations.
