Cairo: Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, Ambassador of Bahrain to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, recently received Salma Sheikho and Hamed Al Balooshi, both staff members from the Ministry of Youth Affairs, who are taking part in the fifth cohort of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the programme is under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt and is conducted in collaboration with the United Nations. The theme of the programme is "Egypt and the United Nations: 80 Years of Representing Global South Issues". It involves over 150 young leaders from more than 80 countries and took place from May 10 to 25. The fellowship targets youth in executive roles and civil society influencers from around the world.
Ambassador Zainal commended the participants for their achievement in receiving the fellowship and conveyed her wishes for their continued success. She also expressed pride in the contributions and representation of Bahraini youth at both regional and international forums.
