Ambassador of Bahrain Engages in Strategic Talks with European External Action Service

Manama: Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Belgium and the Head of its Mission to the European Union, met with Ambassador H©l¨ne Le Gal, the Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the European External Action Service. The meeting included Ambassador Fahad Saqr Al Jemaaz, representing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to the European Union.

According to Bahrain News Agency, discussions during the meeting highlighted the robust relations and cooperation between the GCC and the European Union. The talks centered on the preparations for the upcoming second GCC-EU Summit and explored ways to enhance cooperation, aiming to forge a strategic partnership that aligns with their mutual interests.

The conversation also involved an exchange of views on current developments in the Middle East and the common challenges impacting regional security. Both parties emphasized the significance of boosting GCC-EU coordination on shared priorities and continuing to fortify consultation mechanisms. This effort aims to contribute to the consolidation of security and stability at both regional and international levels.
