AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Partners with Chinese College for International Training Programme

Manama: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) has announced the launch of its first international training programme for Rayaat students in collaboration with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bahrain and Qingdao Harbour Vocational and Technical College. This initiative marks MKF's first effort to provide students with training opportunities outside the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the programme will see four engineering students sponsored by MKF travel to Qingdao Harbour Vocational and Technical College in China, a leading institution in applied education and vocational training, from August 18 to September 2. The programme aims to provide these students with advanced practical experience and exposure to cutting-edge technologies and industry practices, enhancing their professional readiness and expanding their international perspectives.

Qingdao Harbour Vocational and Technical College, known for its focus on the ports and logistics sector, plays a significant role in developing technical talent in the maritime industry. The students, selected through rigorous academic and technical criteria, will be the first delegation from Bahrain and the Middle East to undergo training at this institution.

The programme is designed to combine hands-on learning with professional development, introducing participants to advanced engineering technologies within a setting that bridges academic knowledge with practical application. This initiative is a significant step in MKF's mission to provide high-quality learning opportunities while fostering academic and training connections between Bahrain and China.

Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MKF, highlighted the importance of international exposure in developing national capabilities. She emphasized that such practical experience is vital for aligning youth skills with market demands, noting that these opportunities enable young Bahrainis to contribute to the Kingdom's economic growth.

Ni Ruchi, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bahrain, praised the initiative as a milestone in bilateral educational cooperation, emphasizing its role in building bridges for knowledge exchange and youth development between the two countries.

MKF expressed gratitude to the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain for facilitating this initiative and to Qingdao Harbour Vocational and Technical College for hosting the students and providing a comprehensive technical curriculum.

Established in 2011, MKF is a non-profit organisation focused on creating a positive social impact through education and empowering local talent by offering learning opportunities that equip individuals with essential knowledge, skills, and practical experience to benefit both themselves and the nation.
