AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Concludes 2025 Ithra Summer Programmes for Youth

Manama: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKFBH) has announced the conclusion of its 2025 edition of the Ithra Summer Youth Programme series, which included Ithra Youth, Ithra Young Leaders, and Ithra Buds. These programmes aim to offer a rewarding and holistic experience for a broader age group.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the programmes targeted three age groups, 10 - 12, 13 - 14, and 15 - 16, and combined workshops, field visits, interactive challenges, training camps, sports activities, and artistic and community projects. The curriculum focused on future skills, artificial intelligence, self-discipline, creativity, entrepreneurship, arts and financial literacy, preparing participants for technological and global developments.

This summer also marked the launch of Ithra for Youth for 15 - 16-year-olds, designed to build leadership and confidence while introducing concepts of artificial intelligence. The programme recorded participation rates exceeding 90%, underlining its strong appeal.

All content was developed based on surveys and interviews with the target groups to ensure alignment with youth needs. Activities were also designed to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with sessions spread throughout the year, including academic breaks.

Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, said the success of the programmes reflects the foundation's commitment to providing an environment that enables young people to explore their potential and develop skills in line with future demands. She noted that Ithra is part of the foundation's wider summer initiatives, including the "Work Experience" programme and training camps.

To deliver the programmes, the foundation partnered with more than nine professional and educational entities, including the Child Protection Unit at the Ministry of Interior, National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), Vanilla Caf©, Bahrain Space Agency (BSA), and Pro Boxing Ladies Club.

Founded in 2011, MKFBH is a non-profit organisation officially registered with the Ministry of Labour and Social Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It aims to create a positive social impact in education by empowering Bahraini youth to reach their full potential through workshops, training programmes, and skills development, thereby contributing to both personal growth and national advancement.
