Alba Leads Middle East in Industrial Innovation with Seeq Platform Adoption

Manama: Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the world's largest aluminium smelter on one site, has become the first aluminium smelter in the Middle East to adopt the advanced analytics platform, Seeq, powered by Artificial Intelligence.

According to Bahrain News Agency, this strategic partnership with Crucial Solutions and Services (CSS), based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aims to integrate the Seeq platform into Alba's operations. This integration is set to revolutionise operational efficiency, quality control, and asset reliability through the use of advanced AI and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.

The signing ceremony took place at Alba's premises and was attended by Ali Al Baqali, Alba's Chief Executive Officer, and Sulaiman Alzuhair, CSS Chief Executive Officer and Founder, along with senior executives from both companies.

Al Baqali commented on the partnership, highlighting Alba's commitment to expanding operations and enhancing product quality since its establishment in 1971. He stated that adopting smart operational applications is part of Alba's strategy to develop its operations and set new standards for innovation and efficiency, thus establishing a model for the regional industrial sector.

Alzuhair expressed pride in the partnership with Alba, reflecting CSS's belief in the significance of advanced analytics and AI solutions for driving industrial excellence and operational resilience. He noted that through Seeq, the collaboration will empower Alba's teams, providing deeper operational insights, accelerating decision-making, and enhancing operational efficiency, which will help reshape the future of the aluminium industry and the broader industrial sector across the region.

The Seeq platform offers users the ability to access, cleanse, model, and visualise data from manufacturing systems to enhance decision-making. Its purpose-built applications support rapid analysis, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, enabling companies to improve operational efficiency and performance.
