Al-Sudani meets with sheikhs and notables of Adhamiya and confirms the continuation of the approach of communicating with citizens in various parts of Iraq


Baghdad: Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed the continuation of the approach of communicating with citizens in various parts of Iraq, to find out about services and listen to the most important complaints and suggestions, and everything that enhances service provision and evaluates the performance of state departments, and the importance of being present and following up on the implementation of projects and the performance of the concerned service departments.

During his meeting with the sheikhs and notables of the Adhamiya District, in the presence of the Governor of Baghdad, the Mayor of Baghdad, the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Head of the Administrative Unit, Al-Sudani pointed out, during his visit to the city today, Saturday, to the peculiarity of the city of Adhamiya, with its cultural, religious and social history, and that it is a symbol of brotherhood, based on the position of the martyr, Othman Al-Obaidi, and what is available to it to be an important tourist and
religious attraction, including the shrines of Islamic jurists.

The Prime Minister explained, according to a statement from his office, that the service and living reality of the entire district was monitored by a specialized committee, and in light of that, a package of projects was announced that included the municipality, education, and health sectors, and direct supervision of the completion of Al-Numan Hospital rehabilitation project after the reasons for its delay were addressed. In addition to projects to relieve traffic congestion, which will be initiated soon, and to rehabilitate some residential areas, in addition to stalled projects, including the Adhamiya Youth Forum. The Sulaykh area has also entered the tasks of the formed committee, and the completion of these projects will bring about a qualitative shift in the services provided to the city.

Al-Sudani pointed out that the procedures for expanding the mosque and shrine of Imam Abu Hanifa al-Nu`man to accommodate visitors have been completed,
as an amount of 182 billion dinars has been allocated for this purpose, and a multi-storey car park will be constructed attached to the Hanafi mosque, which will provide additional activity for Adhamiya and the entire city of Baghdad.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the support provided by the local community, sheikhs and notables in the Adhamiya district, to continue the work of all the state’s service departments, within a responsible cooperative and mutual relationship that achieves the desired service and social goals.
