Al-Sudani discusses with MPs of Kirkuk the developments in the governorate’s situation

Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, received, this Sunday evening, a number of members of the House of Representatives from Kirkuk Governorate, representing various components, in the presence of the Second Deputy Speaker of the Council, Shakhwan Abdullah.

During the meeting, according to a statement by his office, the recent developments witnessed by the governorate were discussed, the local reality there was reviewed, and the most important requirements for maintaining security, stability and social peace in the governorate, which is characterized by its rich diversity and brotherly Iraqi sects.

The Prime Minister stressed that the elements who committed the attacks and worked to incite strife will meet their just punishment in accordance with the law.

Al-Sudani stated that the security forces in Kirkuk, of all types and names, are committed to protecting the people of the governorate and their rights to live in dignity, express opinions, and enjoy a safe environment dominated by tolerance and acceptance of others, and this is what characterizes the people of Kirkuk.
