Al-Sudani chairs a meeting of security leaders in Maysan Governorate and stresses the need for firmness in enforcing the law

The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, today, Thursday, chaired a meeting of the leaders of the security services in Maysan Governorate, during his visit to the governorate.

The meeting witnessed a review of the security situation throughout the province of Maysan, and the security plans prepared to face the security challenges in the province, especially with regard to clan conflicts and their repercussions on civil peace in society, and their effects on development efforts and investment in them, as well as discussing plans for combating drugs and criminal crimes.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed the necessity of firmness in enforcing the law and preserving the prestige of the state, and not hesitating to take the necessary measures that would consolidate the rule of law and enhance security and stability in the governorate.

He stressed that there is a continuous evaluation of the officers and commanders, with regard to the level of security performance in carrying out the tasks and duties assigned to them, pointing to the support of the security services of all kinds, and overcoming obstacles regarding the problems they face in Maysan Governorate./ End
