The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Designate Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Hussein Al-Qatrani, announced the restoration of the right to vote for the State of Libya in the FAO, after suspending its participation for several years.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated that Al-Qatrani had already participated in the vote to choose the new director-general of the organization, at the conclusion of the opening session of the General Conference of the International Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome today, Sunday.
He pointed out that this decision came after extensive meetings that Al-Qatrani held with his counterparts from the countries of the world and officials of the organization, which witnessed intensive discussions in this regard, as well as the culmination of the efforts made by a number of elements in the agricultural sector and outside it.
