Al-Menfi discusses with the President of South Africa international developments in Libya.

President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, discussed yesterday with President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, developments in the international and regional situation, the political process in Libya, the progress made in the national reconciliation process, and the elections file.

During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa Partnership Summit in Saint Petersburg, Ramaphosa commended the role of Al-Menfi in all national tracks.

The meeting discussed international issues as the two presidents stressed the need to support the committee of 10 on reforming the Security Council and uniting on African continent issues.

Al-Menfi highlighted Libya’s aspiration to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and activate frameworks for joint cooperation in different areas in a way that achieves common interests, in addition to continuing coordination on the African continent’s issues of bilateral concern.
