Al-Mandalawi to an Iranian delegation: The security of the region is linked to achieving economic and social stability for its countries

First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, received today, Tuesday, at his residence, an Iranian delegation headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs (Ali Bagheri Kani), in the presence of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadeq.

During the meeting, according to a statement by Al-Mandalawi's office, a number of files and issues of common concern were discussed, especially at the political and security levels, stressing the necessity of resolving the payment of all financial dues for imported solid gas, coordination regarding its increase during the current Summer season, and praising Iraq's role in bringing Views among all countries in the region to achieve stability.

Al-Mandalawi stressed that the security of the Middle East region is closely related to the security of neighboring countries, as well as the achievement of economic and social stability in it, expressing Iraq's constant keenness to strengthen its relations with its neighbors and all countries of the world on the basis of cooperation and achieving the interests of peoples, indicating that it was agreed to resume the exchange of visits at the two levels, the Parliament and government between the two countries, activating the work of joint committees, and speeding up the completion of memorandums of cooperation and agreements, especially the security agreement, which will reflect positively on the security of the two brotherly countries, the borders between them, and the region in general.
