Al Mabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Wraps Up Successful Third Edition of Ithra Buds and Youth Programmes

Manama: Al Mabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) has successfully concluded the third edition of its Ithra Buds and Ithra Youth programmes, which were held at the end of the spring break in mid-February. These programmes are part of an integrated framework aimed at nurturing leadership skills and core values in young individuals, providing them with both educational and developmental opportunities.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ithra Buds programme is designed to instill fundamental values and build self-confidence in children through engaging and age-appropriate educational methods. The Ithra Youth programme, on the other hand, focuses on developing self-leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills, empowering participants to make a positive impact in their communities.

Both initiatives include a variety of sports and experiential activities that promote teamwork, discipline, and mental well-being, while fostering emotional awareness and essential life skills. Conducted in a safe and stimulating environment, the programmes emphasize cooperation and the establishment of positive relationships among participants. Each season concludes with assessments that measure the impact and readiness of participants for future academic and personal endeavors.

Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Directors at MKF, highlighted the significance of investing in the potential of young people as a long-term societal commitment. She affirmed that the Ithra programmes align with international skills benchmarks and are tailored to meet the evolving demands of youth, equipping them with the skills necessary for independence and effective decision-making.

The Ithra programmes support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), by offering comprehensive educational content that integrates national values and Bahraini identity.

The implementation of these programmes is in collaboration with various entities, including the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), the Capital Governorate, and the Bahrain Padel Academy. This collaborative effort ensures a comprehensive training experience that blends life skills, national identity, and applied learning.

Al Mabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, established in 2011, is a non-profit organization committed to creating positive social impacts in education within the Kingdom of Bahrain.
