Al-Lafi discusses with the French ambassador to Libya developments in the political process.

Today, Monday, the representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed with the French Ambassador to Libya, Mustafa Maharaj, developments in the political process and national reconciliation.

The Presidential Council stated on its Facebook page that the two sides discussed during the meeting developments in the political process in Libya, and ways to create an appropriate environment for holding free and transparent elections, accepted by all, according to a legal framework, and with the agreement of all political parties.

The two sides also discussed the efforts of the Presidential Council in the national reconciliation project, and paving the way for success for the inclusive national conference, according to the council.

During the meeting, the French ambassador stressed the importance of the national reconciliation project, once again his country’s keenness on the success of the political process, through the agreement of all its participants on electoral laws that guarantee the success and participation of all in the elections, to bring the country to safety.
