Al-Koni conducts dialogue via Zoom with former Prime Minister of Malaysia

Member of Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, conducted a dialogue via “Zoom”, with the former Prime Minister and thinker of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, during which the latter touched on the Malaysian experience that he made in the field of coexistence between races, the three components of Malaysia, and its experience in development and renaissance, which was based on an advanced educational model.

Media office of Presidential Council reported that during the conversation, Malaysia’s contribution to helping the Libyans to consolidate peace and stability, and to create a successful development model to benefit from the development it has achieved in many fields, especially education and industry, was discussed.

Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, sent a message to the Libyan people urging them for tolerance and acceptance of the other in order to build Libya that the Libyans aspire to.

In turn, Musa al-Koni told Dr Mahathir that Libya, emerging from wars and crisis today, is yesterday’s Malaysia, and is looking forward to benefiting from the Malaysian experience, which created a miracle that the world is witnessing, explaining that Libya needs your help as an economic and development thinker to advance it.

During this conversation, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad reviewed his experience in building a Malaysia where peace and stability prevail, and development through sacrifice and tolerance for the sake of the homeland and respect for other religions in a country which religion is Islam.

In his turn, Al-Koni stressed that the conflict in Libya is not religious or sectarian, and we seek to benefit from the Malaysian experience to overcome past differences and move towards development and prosperity.

Al-Koni invited the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, on behalf of the Presidential Council, to visit Libya to meet young people and academics to help build state institutions, and open frameworks for cooperation with government institutions in Libya and Malaysia to benefit from the unique Malaysian experience that stunned the world.
