Al-Hakim stresses the necessity of preserving social diversity in Nineveh

The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar Al-Hakim, stressed the necessity of preserving social diversity in Nineveh Governorate.

The Forces Alliance said in a statement: ‘Al-Hakim met today with the Governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qadir Al-Dakhil. During the meeting, Al-Dakhil provided an explanation about the plans and programs of the local government in Nineveh to advance the governorate and serve its people, districts and regions, while he extended an invitation to Ammar Al-Hakim to visit the governorate.’

Al-Hakim stressed ‘the necessity of preserving social diversity in Nineveh,’ noting that ‘Nineveh is a miniature Iraq that includes multiple sects,’ calling for ‘managing this diversity in it and in Iraq in general.’

He called for “paying attention to the governorate’s issues and working to change its urban and service reality and compensate it for what befell it during the period of the terrorist ISIS gang.”

Al-Hakim stressed, ‘The importance of integration between the Governor of Nineveh an
d the Provincial Council, openness to everyone, the necessity of creating the ideal environment for bringing in investments, and paying attention to archaeological sites and the industrial and agricultural reality of the governorate.
