Al-Hakim and Barham Salih stress the adoption of the constitution as a way to resolve the outstanding issues between the federal and Kurdistan governments

Baghdad: The Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, and former President Barham Salih, stressed the adoption of the constitution as a way to resolve the outstanding issues between the federal and Kurdistan governments.

The Wisdom Movement stated in a statement: “During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region.”

During the meeting, al-Hakim praised all the efforts that contributed to achieving the current stability at the political, social and security levels, calling for strengthening the reasons that led to achieving this stability while working to transform it into permanent stability.

In the file of the relationship between the federal government and the regional government, al-Hakim stressed the adoption of the constitution as a way to resolve the outstanding issues, praising at the same time the understandings that contributed to approving the budget schedules and resolving the crisis of the salaries of the region’s emp
loyees.

Al-Hakim also stressed the need to maintain Iraq’s openness to the Arab, regional and international environment, indicating that experience has proven the region’s need for Iraq’s stability as a prelude to its own stability, calling for the continuation of dialogue, the interconnection of interests and the empowerment of the peoples of the region to enjoy the wealth of their countries.
