Manama: The organising committee of Al Dana Drama Award 2025, under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has announced the jury for its second edition. This prestigious event aims to enhance the drama scene in the Gulf by recognising and promoting meaningful, high-quality storytelling.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the jury is chaired by Bahraini writer and media figure Dr. Barween Habib. This year's panel includes prominent figures from the Gulf's drama and media landscape, such as Bahraini director Ahmed Yaqoub Al Muqla, writer and director Shaikha Suha Al Khalifa, and Emirati actor Ibrahim Al Estad. Other notable members include producer and director Osama Saif, Omani actor Fares Al Balushi, and Bahraini writer Ali Al-Sayegh.
The jury also features Emirati screenwriter Mohammed Hassan, Kuwaiti director Amer Al Amer, Saudi director and Film Commission member Amer Al-Hamoud, Saudi actress Sanaa Younis, and Bahraini playwright Khalid Al Ruwaie. These creatives will evaluate entries based on criteria such as the originality of scripts, coherence of storytelling, directorial creativity, acting performance, and production quality.
Winners will be honoured at a special ceremony in Bahrain, attended by leading figures from the Gulf and Arab drama industries.
