(Al-Dabaiba) discusses with the Vice President of Total Company cooperation in the field of solar energy, oil and gas.

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, “Abdul Hamid al-Dabiba,” met today, Monday in Tripoli, with the vice president of the French “Total Energy” company, “Laurent Vivre,” to discuss cooperation in the field of solar energy, gas, and oil.

During the meeting, Al-Dabaiba affirmed Libya’s desire to cooperate and invest with leading international companies, such as Total, and to focus on the solar energy file, with the aim of creating investment opportunities for all those who want to work with Libya and diversify the country’s energy sources.

The vice president of “Total” gave the prime minister a briefing on the executive procedures for launching the project to generate 500 megawatts with solar energy contracted between Total and the Renewable Energy Authority, which is a pilot project, as well as a report on cooperation with the National Oil Corporation for exploration in the field of oil and gas.
