Advisor for Media Affairs Highlights the Impact of Bahrain Journalists Association

Manama: His Excellency Isa bin Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Advisor for Media Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince, commended the efforts of the Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) for its pioneering role as an independent national platform since its establishment.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HE Al Hammadi highlighted the BJA's contributions in safeguarding the rights of journalists and advancing Bahraini journalism at both regional and international levels. His Excellency attributed this progress to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HE Al Hammadi noted that the association's 25th anniversary represents a significant national milestone that reflects Bahrain's distinguished journalistic journey and the BJA's role in strengthening the media landscape by upholding professional standards and promoting responsible freedoms.

His Excellency further highlighted that over the past quarter century, the BJA has reinforced its partnerships with government institutions, contributed to the development of media legislation, and supported the press sector through specialised training programmes and international professional engagement. These efforts have led to the association's membership in leading regional and global press unions, enhancing Bahrain's presence on the global media stage.

HE Al Hammadi concluded by affirming that the BJA remains a key contributor to national media efforts, fostering a culture of responsible freedom of expression, and extended his best wishes to the association and its board for continued success in serving journalists and advancing the profession.
