The Joint Management Committee for the implementation of contracts concluded between the Ministry of Oil, Total International Company, and Qatar Energy Company held an expanded meeting to discuss the initial steps for implementing joint projects within the agreement concluded between the Ministry and Total.
A statement by the Ministry of Oil, today, Saturday, stated that the meeting included discussing the mechanisms for naming the committees supporting the joint management, including the technical, financial, legal, and other committees, in preparation for approving the work program and development plans.
According to the statement, the meeting was attended by the Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs, Bassem Muhammad Khudair, the Undersecretary for Gas Affairs, Izzat Saber, the Director General of the Basra Oil Company, the Director General of the South Gas Company, the Director General of the Economic Department in the Ministry of Oil, and a number of officials in the Ministry’s center departments and oil companies.
According to the statement, the meeting had been hold after activating the contract concluded between them on August 16, 2023.
