A joint meeting between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the German company Otto Bock.

Within the framework of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the German company Otto Bock, specialized in the area of prosthetics, a meeting was held at the Company’s headquarters in Germany between the delegation assigned by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, headed by Wafaa Al-Kilani, Minister of Social Affairs.

The Otto Bock Company is represented by Tim Sheffert, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Regional Director, Dennis Walter, Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and Walid Lahham, Regional Sales Manager. Du Al-Hemam Company for Medical Equipment, the exclusive agent of Otto Bock in Libya, is represented by Fouad Al-Dergash, General Manager of the company.

The meeting discussed the preparation of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Social Affairs and Otto Bock for joint cooperation to develop existing workshops and establish centers for the installation of prosthetic limbs in Libya and to exchange experiences in this area as well as training and technical support, within the Ministry’s vision and desire to develop the current centers in Libya and establish new centers with the latest equipment.

Otto Bock stressed its readiness to provide the ministry with all required equipment and materials with the best specifications, along with the necessary technical support and consultations to set a strategic plan for prosthetic limb workshops according to the Ministry’s vision.
