The Roads and Controls Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Department, was able to arrest a foreign suspect in his possession narcotic substances in the checkpoint of Al-Lajj, in the north of the province.
A source in Wasit Police told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the accused was seized with 100 grams of narcotic opium, and he was referred to the competent court.
