Thousands of followers of the Sadrist movement demonstrated in Basra this evening, Sunday, to protest against the burning of the Noble Qur’an in Sweden.
The demonstrators in the demonstration, in front of the office of the martyr al-Sadr in the Tweisah area, denounced the incident of burning the Holy Qur’an, calling on the government to take deterrent measures for such behavior that offends Islam and the Holy Book of God.
