A 4.5-magnitude earthquake hits Antalya, southwestern Turkey

An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck this afternoon, the coasts of Gazipasa district, in the state of Antalya, southwestern Turkey.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said in a statement that the earthquake occurred at 16:16 local time and struck the coast of Gazipasa district in the state of Antalya, at a depth of 12.44 km below sea level.
