Manama: The 17th Arab Society of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation Conference, alongside the inaugural Bahrain Kidney Health and Transplantation Conference, has officially commenced in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The event saw the presence of Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, and Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, along with numerous specialists from both regional and international health and academic institutions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the conference is organised by the Government Hospitals in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Health, the Bahrain Defence Force Royal Medical Services, and the National Committee for Organ Transplantation. The event, held in cooperation with Education Plus, is scheduled to run until October 3, 2025.
The programme is set to include specialised lectures, practical workshops, and interactive panel discussions. These sessions will feature participation from leading physicians, consultants, and experts from Arab and international institutions. The conference aims to culminate in scientific recommendations that will support the development of kidney care services in Bahrain and the broader region.
