12 New Judges Sworn In Before Supreme Judicial Council Following Royal Order

Manama: Twelve new judges took the legal oath before the Supreme Judicial Council following a Royal Order appointing them to the judiciary after completing the Future Judges Programme and its required training stages. The appointments aim to strengthen judicial capacity and support the continued development of Bahrain's justice system.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Supreme Judicial Council extended appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for issuing the Royal Order appointing and promoting judges. It also acknowledged the support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for efforts to enhance the efficiency of judicial institutions.

The Council emphasised that judicial office carries responsibility and trust, noting that judges are tasked with upholding justice, protecting rights and freedoms, and reinforcing the rule of law. It also highlighted the importance of clear legal reasoning in judicial rulings to ensure the sound application of the law and maintain public confidence in the judiciary.

The newly appointed judges represent the first cohort of the Future Judges Programme, which prepares national candidates for judicial service through academic and practical training under specialised supervision. A second cohort is currently undergoing training as part of an ongoing plan to develop national judicial talent.
